1. Scope

The provisions of this regulation must be followed by all guests of  YOTEL PORTO – UNITED INVESTMENTS PORTUGAL . Strict observance of the provisions of the Regulation is essential for all users coexisting  and for the proper operation of the gym, for which we are grateful for the collaboration of all.

2. Ability for physical exercise

Despite the importance and benefits of physical activity, being recognized maintaining or improving the well-being of gym users,  it is the sole responsibility of the members to ensure, prior to each use of the facilities, equipment or services of the gym, the inexistence of any contraindications for the practice of physical and sports activities. It is recommended that you obtain prior consent  from your doctor.

3. Conditions of access to the gym

3.1. Access to the gym is only permitted by guests of YOTEL PORTO –UNITED INVESTMENTS PORTUGAL is made upon signing the disclaimer at reception upon check-in and the access is made with the room key.

4. Behavior

4.1. Users must behave in a calm and urban manner within the gym, so as not to disturb or prevent the normal use of the facilities by third parties, and must be appropriately dressed when circulating in common areas.

4.2. It is prohibited to smoke and consume alcoholic beverages in the gym.

4.3. Users are responsible for replacing the equipment used in the exercise areas in their respective storage locations.

4.4. It is not permitted to film or photograph inside the gym, without the prior authorization of ACTIVE BY SERENITY at YOTEL PORTO – UNITED INVESTMENTS PORTUGAL, in order to protect the privacy and comfort of all guests and members.

5. Use of the Exercise Room

5.1. Users must follow the instructions of the staff members of ACTIVE BY SERENITY and obtain advice from them, before using any equipment in the gym, whenever they do not know how it works.

5.2. For hygiene reasons, it is mandatory that users carry towels when using equipment and materials in the exercise areas, as well as disinfecting them after use. Towels are available at the gym.

5.3. The use of appropriate sports clothing and footwear is mandatory. It is not allowed to train shirtless.

6. Minors

Use of the gym is prohibited for minors under 16 years of age, except  in exceptional cases, duly authorized by ACTIVE BY SERENITY at YOTEL PORTO – UNITED INVESTMENTS PORTUGAL and upon signature of a term of responsibility for tutors as well as presentation of medical certificate.

7. Hours of Operation

7.1. ACTIVE BY SERENITY opening hours are as follows:

(i) Gym – 24/7 access to YOTEL PORTO guests only.

7.2 ACTIVE BY SERENITY at YOTEL PORTO – UNITED INVESTMENTS PORTUGAL reserve the right to change, at any time, the opening hours and days of the gym, whenever justified:

– depending on the average number of frequencies;

– maintenance, cleaning or any other relevant reason that prevents the proper functioning of its services;

– to restrict access to certain areas for private events;

To this end, specific notices will be posted. These eventual changes will not imply any change in the monthly fees for members;

8. Responsibility

ACTIVE SERENITY at YOTEL PORTO – UNITED INVESTMENTS PORTUGAL is not liable for any negligent damages related to the use of the gym.

Gym users must comply with the rules and regulations in effect, as well as any others periodically issued by the Board.

We appreciate you informing the Management if you become aware of any violation of this regulation. These rules and regulations were prepared for the maximum benefit and safety of users and in order to maintain the standards of ACTIVE BY SERENITY at YOTEL PORTO – UNITED INVESTMENTS PORTUGAL.

9. Term and Changes

The provisions of these Regulations enter in effect on the day following their posting at the gym, for an indefinite period.  ACTIVE BY SERENITY at YOTEL PORTO – UNITED INVESTMENTS PORTUGAL reserves the right to change the regulation, at any time and without prior notice.
